# Product Introduction
The DigitalFlow GM868 flowmeter adopts patented Correlation Transit Time™ ultrasonic flow measurement technology, delivering accurate and drift-free measurement results without obstructing or disturbing water flow.
## Wide Range of Pipe Sizes and Flow Conditions
Boasting an extensive measurement velocity range and the capability to measure flows from small to extremely large in any pipeline, the DigitalFlow GM868 flowmeter can perform the work of several conventional flowmeters. It is suitable for pipelines with diameters ranging from 1 to 120 inches (2.5 centimeters to 3 meters) and flow velocities from 0.1 to 150 feet per second (0.03 to 46 meters per second), covering both forward and reverse flow as well as steady and pulsating flow conditions.
To ensure measurement accuracy, it is recommended to use a dual-channel meter to conduct measurements along two different paths at the same location. The dual-channel flowmeter can also measure the flow rate of two independent pipelines or the flow at different positions within a single pipeline.

## GM868 Specifications
### Operation and Performance
- **Fluid Type**: All sound-conductive gases
- **Pipe Diameter**: 2 inches to 120 inches (50 millimeters to 3,000 millimeters) NB and larger sizes
- **Pipe Material**: All metals. Consult GE for other materials.
- **Flow Accuracy (Velocity)**: ±1% to ±2% of reading (typical value). Accuracy depends on pipe size and whether single-path or dual-path measurement is adopted. Process calibration enables an accuracy of ±0.5% of reading.
- **Repeatability**: ±0.2% to ±0.5% of reading
- **Range (Bidirectional)**: -150 to 150 ft/s (-46 to 46 m/s)
- **Turndown Ratio (Overall)**: 1500:1
Technical specifications require a fully developed flow profile, typically at 20 pipe diameters upstream and 10 pipe diameters downstream of straight pipe sections, with a flow velocity greater than 3 ft/s (1 m/s).
### Measured Parameters
Mass flow rate, standard volumetric flow rate, actual volumetric flow rate, total flow and flow velocity
