# Product Introduction
The TransPort PT878GC Flowmeter is a versatile, standalone and portable transit-time system equipped with a variety of options and accessories to meet diverse gas flow measurement requirements. Its compact size, lightweight construction, rechargeable battery pack and universal power charger make it an ideal portable flowmeter. It is capable of measuring the flow rate of various types of gases. This device is especially suitable for metering corrosive, toxic, high-purity and sterile gases, and is particularly applicable to scenarios where penetration through pipe walls needs to be avoided. Since no drilling or cutting of pipelines is required, installation costs are significantly reduced. Featuring a non-contact structural design, the flowmeter causes no pressure loss during operation and offers an extremely wide measuring range.
