# Product Introduction
The TransPort PT900 is the latest generation of clamp-on portable liquid ultrasonic flowmeter from Panametrics' ultrasonic instrument product line. It not only inherits the rugged durability and outstanding performance of the previous-generation TransPort PT878, but also further upgrades to an entirely new level of intuitive and user-friendly functions tailored to modern customer needs.

Installation assumes a fully flooded pipe and symmetrical flow profile (typically requiring 10 pipe diameters of straight pipe upstream and 5 pipe diameters downstream). Final installation accuracy is determined by multiple factors, including fluid medium, temperature range, pipe concentricity and other parameters.
