The pressure to be regulated by the ARCA pressure controller generates force via bellows or diaphragms. This force is compared with the force of an adjustable spring through the measuring system, and a driving pressure is produced by the nozzle/flapper system. Feedback from the operating rod stabilizes the controller. Model 902 pressure controllers are applicable to steam and hydraulic pressure regulation, and also serve as gas pressure controllers in processing plants.


The ARCA temperature controller is installed at the measuring point, and generates actuation pressure for the actuator via extension rods and the nozzle/flapper system. The calibrated proportional band allows setpoint adjustment. Pneumatic valve actuators can also be installed far away from the measuring points. Among other applications, Model 910 temperature controllers are used to regulate the temperature of coolant in central coolant circuits.

Featuring robust rolling diaphragms, ARCA pneumatic diaphragm actuators boast a compact structure and wide application range, ensuring zero hysteresis throughout the full stroke. The pneumatic actuator can be opened or closed by spring force or control air. Its fail-open and fail-close configurations can be converted on-site to enhance flexibility for field operation. The built-in spring enables the actuator to return to its fail-safe position. These actuators deliver extremely short stroke times, so ARCA diaphragm actuators not only fulfill control functions but also play a vital role in production safety. Generally, these pneumatic actuators require no explosion-proof design, and an emergency handwheel can be fitted if necessary.
