When two series-excited motors are powered by one SCR cabinet and drive the same load in parallel, a sprocket failure may cause one or both motors to lose load and overspeed, as is the case with slurry pump drives.
The role of the sprocket anti-slip plate is to detect whether the speed and load of the series-excited motor are normal, and when the speed to load ratio exceeds the threshold value, it is judged that a belt-slip event has occurred.
When sprocket slippage occurs, the finger mating contactor is disconnected, power to both motors is cut off and the sprocket slippage indicator on the panel is switched on at the same time.
